1 set de bouquins, stylo et encre, uniforme, ue douzaine de cahier, plus les frais d’examen = 1665 roupies par gamins = 18 euros par gamin par an ..

soit 446 euros pour les 25 qu on suit depuis 2 ans

et 42 de frais administratif pour le ECWZ (transports, impression, papeterie, etc .. )

(! ! bon aussi pour le panneau de la fete au passage .. )

c’est clair que une petite collection de lettre des gamins serait sympa .. et bons pour nous à montrer dans nos expos etc .. ils ont quel ages au fait ??

ils ont entre 9-10 et 18 ans. j’ai meme des phtos prise lors de la derniere remise des fournitures. Je crois qu’il est temps d’augmenter notre participation (x3 ?) : on a plein de thunes, kishan reve d’etendre le projet et de toucher plus de gamins, et la demande suit plus vite que les fonds...

pour un *2 en tout cas , eventu un * 3 .. ce qu’il y a c’est que ’après il faut être sur de pouvoir assurer pendant .. 6 ans ?? (pour que ceux qui commencent puissent continuer jusqu’au bout .. )

Guys, Tonio was right. Of Course I wanted to expand the project area. I wanted to run stuffs with low administrative cost so that the real effort reaches the floor level. To change people’s perception regarding any issues is more difficult task. It takes time. I had a goal, couldn’t figure it out to measure excatly by how much but wanted to see the establishment of Education Based Trend. Now by somehow I can see the increasing craze to go to school and be someone (Teacher, Dotor, Nurse, scientist, etc)among kids of Tamang and other marginalised communities. Some of the older children have been like Roll Model to the younger ones. Our little help assists financially to the children and their family and on the ohter hand it will appreciate / encourage kids to go to / continue schooling. There are several factors which affect the education, but we have been addressing some of the major factors with our small effort. Further some schools lack infrastructure like Class rooms, Toilet, Drinking water, etc.

Honestly I don’t want to put pressure on you guys by asking more support but if you people are interested to take more challenges and have that enthusiasm. I might plan to expand scholarship project to other areas of the district too.

Arthur ! I haven’t forgotten Solar Panel idea. I want to visit that village again before we proceed. There will be one village left from micro hydro (as I have heard). I just want to make sure that what we spend truely makes positive difference in the life of people and what we do (project) is the neccessity of the target group. Thanks for encouraging me to initiate some of the issues for that I was not aware of. Keep me buzzing guys !!!

Despite busy day to day routine, I have not given up to put extra effort for the people of Rasuwa. Thanks for ganesh-himal for the support from initial phase...

We could easily reach a *2 number of children we support, If we assume each year the pierreuse party will be a secure entrance of funds, we’ll always have enough money for this

Kishan, what do yoiu think about asking the children we’re supporting if they could do a thing like writing a letter or do a drawing about our support, just as we’d like to get a ffedback from them, and to show to people here in belgium what we are doing with the association... ?

Max, kids from the Govt. school have limited resources and learning opportunities. They can write simple letters in nepali (which I can translate later in English if you want me to do it). About drawing, I can try requesting some kids in village. Please advise me which is the deadline for the submission of these letters and drawings ?

I have another suggestion too. Do you know Jess ? She has got footages. She is not able to edit it because of her some personal problems. Antoine has close contact with her. If that footage can be useful for your fundraising function, you guys can coordinate with Jess ! I can write to her if you people want ! Please tell me if there is anything that can be done from my side........

Okay kishan, i was asking just to know what are the possibilities to get a feedback form them, if you have any better ideas, just tell us... there’s no deadline, it was just a suggestion, ...

so Max, what I think now is that you guys coordinate with Jess to finalise editing the footage to make it a short documentary. On the other hand I will be coordinating my people and kids of village to have letters and Drawings and then will post them to Ganesh-HImal. You guys will have two more tools to make function better and effective. What do you think ?

dear tonio, i have tried many times to chat with you, but no succes my friend...

so, i will write in frenh, easier to me, hope some one can translate to kishan. Bien sûr j’ai des tones de rish de mon fabuleux voyage au népal et qui plus est des interview de kishan lui même, de Hari, de parents d’enfants scolarisés grâce à vos dons, des enfants eux m^me par rapport à leurs réalités de vie et tant d’autres merveilleuses choses...

Le problème, c’est que je n’ai ni le temps, ni les moyens de faire le montage ;/ donc si quelqu’un (thibo ?)peut m’aider sur ce coup là, je serais plus qu’heureuse et ravie de pouvoir servir l’ami kishan. je lui ai promis et puis je le dois au enfants et pour un tas d’autres raisons humaines je tien à faire , poursuivre, terminer ce projet. il est possible avec les rush de l’interview de Kishna de faire un doc d’environ 20 min...ce n’est pas beaucoup mais c’est déjà ça hein...ce sera un reportage un peu faiit à l’arrach mais plein de vie et de sincérité. J’ai tout de m^me une connaissance népalaise, Sagar, qui vit à liège et qui était open pour faire les traductions en anglais,français car certaines interviews sont en népali. je ne peux malheureusement restée plus longtemps ici mais je reste branchée...bien à vous tous et com on dit chez nous, il n’y a pas de problèmes, il n’y a que des solutions...

Bon un cas classique .. on a le matos pour faire un truc super mais ça de mande bcp de temps , et comme ganesh fonctionne comme il fonctionne, le temps on en a pas full mais on en a qd meme ...

Il faudrait au moins qu’une personne - thibault comme totu le mponde le dit ici t’es le mieux indiqué pour ça , sauf que t’as pas le temps - soit nommée pour coordiner le truc : faire une liste des tâche à faire dans l’ordre et essayer de les partager comme il se peut avec les compétences de chacun. L’objectif est pas de faire un truc pro mais un petit film de 20 min qu on pourrait montrer en belgique sur grd écran des événement ou s’invite serait vraiment super et il y a de quoi faire avec les fonds comme le précise kisshan plus haut ...

Jess pour ce qui est du dérushage, comme c’est toi qui connait les images c’est sur que ça va ête difficile que qqn le fasse à ta place je n’y connaus rien mais je supoose que tu peux déjà faire un premier passage grossier ??

si vous avez le temps pour une ptite réunion je srais ravie d’en trouver pour voir ce qu’on peut faire. Nous avions commencer à faire la traduction de l’interview de kishkish avec tonio. l’interview est en anglais, nous pourrions le traduire en français et si sagar est dispo en épali, ainsi et comme c’était prévu à la base le doc pourrait tourner, ici en belgik, au népal et ???partout où c poss.. Com t le souligne ce serait dommage de payer quelqu’un, surtout qu’ y a trop moyen de le faire nous m^me :) malgré le manque de temps. De mon côté je ne sais pas trop me libérer la semaine sauf le mercredi apm et soir, sinon 1 w-e sur 2.

Une idée m’est venue...s’il n’est pas poss de faire un montage, peut etre puis je passer l’interview vendredi soir ? c’est angalis bien entendu...Ou, autre possibilité, ne pourrions-nous pas organiser une soirée projection népal : la vie des paysans , des femmes, des enfants dasn le village de kishan+interview par rapport à l’association et je fais tourner mes images sur écran...c’est du roots( comme les routes népalaises) mais lorsque j’ai montré les images à des potes chez moi, ils ont kiffés "le style et l’ambiance des images ".et de tout ce que cela laisse transparaître..des paysages de fous, des visages lumineux, des sourires comme des soleils, bref de l’humanité y zont dit...à bon entendeur à suivre, bisette ;))))))))

I’ve got gud news for you guys ! Hari has received some letters and drawings made by the sponsored kids. I will send them to Liege via Post (is it the best idea ?). Hope that will help you guys little bit to make the function more informative and effective !!

What has to be done this summer is determine to what extent the collaboration could be extended.

IT is now, or soon ,n holiday in belgium and the team will be evenmore dispersed ..

For what time limit do we have to agree for this year fundings of school material ?? I will come back in belgium in mid-august, and ben will be in belgium at this time , we could make some meeting then and fix the decision there. * just funding more children in the same way (and in the same area) or

* extension of the geographic area (this will not ask only more money for more children but as well more work from you or your friends as you will need to travel further to meet people and so on ..

* fundings of infrastructure in schools (drinking water and toilets beeing maybe the most important) , this is a totally different work .. how do you think about achieving this ?? will the school (director, teachers .. ) be in charge of supervising the work

Appel au cartographe : ce serait bien un jour d’avoir une carte de notre "zone de travail ", facilement accessible sur le site .. bon le top du top serait un truc ou les gens peuvent venir voir qu’est ce qui fait dans quel zone , mais pour l’instant juste pour nous , avoir une carte de la région , des routes, des écoles , des villages où il ya des gamins sponsorisé, etc ... construire cette carte serait un projet en soi je pense et un outil de travail précieux ...

Un double A4, présentant concretemnt et avec transparence l’investissement réalisé et les résultats, to put in all the mail box ..made from the letters and drawings from the kids and including extension project .. so this is’nt to be made now as the letters are not there yet and the extension not fixed yet but once this will be made we could easily transfer the letter in a poster for event organisation (and i say this for when i will be back .. as i know the belgian team has already done a lot .. )

Guys, sponsorship project is to be done as soon as possible as we are already late. Schools have been started already. What we will do is to reimburse the amount of text books who have bought already and buy for those who need to buy. I will probably send the letters and drawings tomorrow. Guys, function should be informative and impressive (in terms of what we do). So I will do my best to make it effective and informative. If you guys want, I can make a little bit detailed proposal for the sponsorship, Solar Stuffs and for the infrastructure of the village schools.

We have been receiving inquiries and recommendations from people from several areas of the district. Teachers and local intellectuals suggest us. At this point we have received sponsorship request for around 80 children. So I can make proposal of around 100 sponsorships for this year if you guys are okey with the funds. Otherwise we have to adjust some materials to provide everyone something... Any way let me know. Then immediately start the fund transfer process and I will start organising function (distribution) here. For solar project, I will make proposal (like a package as Arthur suggested) to address environmental issue as well as social issues too at the same time with the same project. Make a remote village with light and support children in education, assist local schools and people for others things if little fund can be so productive.

For the function there, what can be useful/done from my side ? Do you guys want me to make detail report/proposal of the solar stuffs, school infrastructures things to discuss in the function ? If yes, I will have to start from right tomorrow to finalise them. And if we have to do that slowly and later on, lets wait some time....

Our plan at this time would be to extend the funding to a bit more children, so if i understand you have the hability to extend from 80 to 100 ? means 20 more, ok ! the same way as the others...

Kishan, I don’t understand so good. Do you need a hundred from ganesh himal ? or just twenty more than usual ? (means 45) 100 sponsorship = 2000 *100 = 200 000 rps = 2000 euros 45 spship = 90 000 rps = 900 euros.

Guys, I thought I could not make it clear. In fact we have got around 60 sponsorships from individuals from Australia, England, Slovenia and Norway together. We have 25 from ganesh-himal team. WE have still around 80 children to sponsor ( as we have received request/recommendations). I don’t know what is your postition now and how much you guys can extend as per your organisational policy and budget. I was saying minimum 25 and maximum 100 sponsorships from Ganesh himal team. However you support would be great !

Did you guys get any information about my courier ? I suppose you guys receive those drawings and letters within this week ! Please let me know. Jess ! as I didn’t get Antoine’s cell phone number in time, I had to write your cell phone number in the cover. So if you receive any calls from courier people, please facilitate them to receive what I sent. Dawings are really simple. Letters are quite different than what I expected them to write. Their writing is much better than drawing. Letters are in Nepali. I didn’t get time and opportunity to scan and translate here. If it’s must and you guys get problem doing that, I will do. I just need the scanned copy of letters so that I can translate them. I am sorry that I couldn’t manage to do that before I sent it !

i think maybe we could manage the translation directly here as we met nepali people in belgium... ben talks...

pour ce qui est du financement, on a pas arreter de dire qu’il fallait qu’on investisse, et ce sera d’autant plus un moyen de nous motiver a se bouger pour faire des trucs (vaut mieux un bon projet sans financement que l’inverse) au pire je suis pret a faire une donation pour ce qui manquerait l’année prochaine...donc je re okay-ise

I have received funds for the 100 scholarships. It’s really a great job from us ! Altogether we will have around 160 full scholarships and around 50 partial scholarship this year. Isn’t it a great job !

Fund is little bit less than the target however, I will manage to provide scholarship to the targeted students. The stationery stuffs will be reduced little bit from every package so that we can have few more seats to meet target.....
