Those screenshots from googleearth have been taken near Jhyanglang, on the foothills of Gosaithan. The gray line is a big landslide. As we clearly can see, there are some hectares hold in suspension, destabilized by the collapse of the central part, and ready to slide down the slope.

In this area, landslides are recurrent. Regularly cause of direct victims, they are mainly problematic for peasant who loss their fields, and so, their means of support. Further more, this problem isn’t really taken into account (or, at least, not enough) by the international organization, who distribute funds only sparingly when some thousands meter cube of mountain decide to visit the valley.

the structure of soil and land is also not very tight, its weaker than other areas. Saramthali is the place which if often the centre of earthquaqe in central Nepal. So the land of Rasuwa is in danger of landslide (we have seen that in reality !!)People have been doing deforestation because of the poor Govt. monitoring, lack of awareness, growth of population, etc.
